📍 Where is Cuatro Islas?

Cuatro Islas is in Leyte, in Eastern Visayas. The four islands are Digyo, Mahaba, Apid, and Himokilan.

The main jump-off is Inopacan, Leyte, where you register and take a boat.

🇵🇭 From Luzon / Manila:

1. Fly Manila → Tacloban

2. From Tacloban, take a van/bus → Inopacan

3. Get off near the Inopacan Tourism Office/Municipal Hall

4. Register and arrange your boat to Cuatro Islas. Tacloban → Inopacan is roughly 2–3 hours by road. 

 

From Visayas to Cebu:

  • Take a ferry to Hilongos, Baybay, Ormoc, or Maasin
  • Continue by van/bus toward Inopacan
  • Register at the Inopacan tourism office.

Hilongos is particularly convenient because it’s relatively close to Inopacan.

From Bohol: You can take a ferry toward Leyte, then travel overland to Inopacan.

🌊 From Mindanao

A practical route is generally:

Mindanao → Leyte by ferry/flight → Inopacan → Cuatro Islas

For example, depending on where you’re starting in Mindanao, you can travel by ferry to Leyte/Southern Leyte, then take a bus or van toward Inopacan.

🚤 Once you’re in Inopacan Go to Inopacan Tourism Building (Cuatro Islas Entry Point) and register before taking a boat.

The usual islands are:

  • Digyo – famous for its white sand/sandbar
  • Mahaba
  • Apid
  • Himokilan

Important: The four islands are under different local jurisdictions, so don’t assume a regular Inopacan boat automatically includes all four. Current tours may require an additional arrangement for Himokilan/other islands.
